HBLA SECURITY CAPTAIN BIOGRAPHY
Jim is the head of HBLA security and planning. He is a thirteen year law enforcement veteran spending the last three years working full time as a personal protection specialist. Jim has worked with two of the wealthiest family’s in the world, one of the top female actors in the world, and the highest threat diplomatic security detail in the United States. Jim is currently also the director of security for a wealthy family in Beverly Hills, CA. along with being the personal protection specialist for the above listed actor. Jim also continues to provide close quarter protection for many A-list Celebrity’s and foreign diplomats. Jim was recently part of a 4-man team on a high-risk detail with two A-list Celebrities’ in Mexico. Jim is certified as a Personal Protection Specialist by the Department of State. This certification is very difficult to receive and is needed to work contracts for the Department of State and Diplomatic Security Service. Jim is also certified in SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics), Hostage Negotiations, Krav Maga (Israeli close quarter hand to hand combat and weapon defense system), how to survive armed encounters, tactical knife fighting, advanced defensive tactics and ground fighting, drug investigations, interview and interrogations, and gang investigations. Jim is also a certified Law Enforcement Instructor and certified to teach Defensive Tactics, Krav Maga, Officer Survival, Drug Investigation, physical fitness for law enforcement, advanced law enforcement tactics, interview and interrogations, and street level narcotics.

Jim spent most of his Law Enforcement Career in plain clothes specialized units. In these units Jim had to become an expert in surveillance and counter surveillance, traits that assist him daily working close quarter protection. Spending a majority of his career in narcotics enforcement, operational planning was a large part of his job. Undercover Officer Rescue planning was one the primary duties assigned to Jim while working as a narcotics investigator. These traits also carry over to the daily duties Jim now has as a protection specialist. Jim’s communication skills are at the highest level as he has the ability to work in many different environments and with many different cultures due to his training and experience in a diverse Washington D.C. Metropolitan area.

Jim is regarded by fellow Law Enforcement Officers he has served with as well as fellow protection Specialist as one of the top men in his field. Jim has received the Bronze Star for valor, three Chief’s commendations, and two Unit citations. Jim continues to train with the Sheriff’s Office he serves with part-time so he can continue to grow in this field. Honor and Integrity are most important to Jim and he does hold a Federal Security clearance. Confidentiality is never in question with Jim and he has many references from both Law Enforcement and the Private sector.
